I've been going to this diner since I was born basically and it still as warm and inviting as ever! Yea it's a little run down but the folks who work there more than make up for it! Food comes out fast and delicious!

My favourite neighbourhood restaurant. It's the kind of place where everyone knows each other, which always makes me feel like I've stepped back in time to when the city was just a neighbourhood and the people in it were just neighbours. John, Maria, Christina, and the rest of the staff are wonderful and welcoming. The food is delicious, cheap, and oh-so-satisfying. We always come back to "Bloor Jane", and always will.Tip: they only accept cash! Visit the ATM at the Circle K on South Kingsway, or any of the banks just up the street from the restaurant on Bloor.

Place is horrible. Server doesn’t understand simple orders. Ordered the special with ham, eggs with cheddar, home fries with onions, white toast. Got bacon and runny eggs with an unmelted American cheese slice on top, no onions, and wheat toast. Server acted like we were bothering here to correct it. Said we should have asked for “well done” eggs. Got the order back with a side of onions (not in the home fries) and scrambled eggs burnt on the bottom. Oh and there was hair I the toast. I’ve never seen so many things go wrong with a simple breakfast!! Ridiculous, save your money!!!

First time back to the Bloor Jane Restaurant in about 25 years. Nice to see the originality (for the most part) of the restaurant is still in tact!! Food was still delish, and the old fashioned milkshakes are still the best in the City!! Thanks for the memories!!

Is this a diner, dive or greasy spoon? Hard to say but what I can tell you is that it’s an experience you must have. I feel nostalgic the moment I step in here, like I’m at a grandparent’s house. Come see this restaurant because who knows how many places like this are left! Back to a time before technology took over our lives.

The place is old looking. Food is ok. Prices are reasonable. Nothing to rave about. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

This is the best cheap breckfast place I have found in Toronto. The food is good and it comes out very quickly. They only take cash so pick some up before hand.

Spectacular breakfast! Amazing diner ambiance, like stepping back in time. Reminds me of the many Greek run diners in the many small towns of my life before Toronto.

The breakfast food is ok, meaning average not great but decent. The surprising thing is that the coffee is terrible, a real 1950’s brew, watery and uninteresting. Hard to understand a breakfast place with coffee this bad in 2020.

Fantastic place. Quick service, consistently good inexpensive food, and lovely atmosphere. In over 15 years of going here, it hasn't changed much, but there's no reason for it to change. The coffee is bottomless. Highly Highly recommend.

I just discovered this place after dropping my kids off at camp. It looks a little dated and run down from the outside. Similarly when you walk it I felt like I had walked back in time. It is the perfect classic diner. Simple but well made food. Delicious. Friendly service. By the second time I came here they knew my drink of choice and said "Hi" like a friend and not just a customer. Over the course of my visits here I had the steak and eggs, corn beef and eggs, peameal and eggs. All delicious and worth returning for. All and all of you are looking for a place for fancy coffee and avacoda toast, this is not your place. But if you are looking for an classic egg breakfast in a equally classic diner environment. This is your place!

It's a diner but not a particularly outstanding one. Food is ok, the $8.50 (tax included) all day special for eggs, bacon/sausage/ham, taters and coffee is a pretty good deal but the cleanliness of the place leaves something to be desired. The coffee IS good though and the location is nice for groceries.

I was on bloor west for a medical appointment. I was hungry and looking for simple bacon and eggs. The service was fast and friendly. The food wasn’t too greasy and was delicious. My coffee cup was topped off never went empty. The coffee was delicious and fresh. Great place. I will be back.
